Joslyn has worked as an investigator for over 15 years. Prior to being hired at the San Francisco Public Defender’s office in 2011, she worked for Batza and Associates, a private investigation firm based in Los Angeles, where she investigated both civil and criminal defense cases. Joslyn has a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Forensic Mental Health from California State University, Los Angeles. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara in Law and Society with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. She enjoys being the liaison between the investigators and other units in the office in order to assist with keeping things as streamlined as possible. In addition to her role as Senior Investigator and Unit Lead, Joslyn has a special interest in workplace conflict resolution. After becoming certified as a conflict mediator, she was chosen to be part of the first cohort of the CCSF Peer Mediation program in 2020.
Joslyn is originally from Los Angeles, and is constantly seeking out warm weather during her downtime.
