Aleem co-manages the Felony Unit. He has been an attorney in the office for nineteen years, practicing in the Misdemeanor, Felony, and Clean Slate units. Previously, Aleem worked as the Technology Director at Public Interest Clearinghouse (now One Justice), a housing defense attorney at the AIDS Legal Referral Panel, and an associate at Gibson, Dunn, & Crutcher. He was born in North Africa, but moved to the Bay Area as a youngster. He has a BA from UC Berkeley and a JD from UC Davis. He does this work for the clients.
